Sounds like you make the right decisions for you (even if the right decisions aren't exactly clear at the time) occasionally you just gotta take that leap. Depression and anxiety are horrible and he have PtSd from a horrible childhood, it doesn't excuse it all but it can be a roller coaster also for the partner.
