I also gave myself permission to gain a few pounds. I enjoyed foods I didn't normally eat. Constantly remind yourself of the benefitof quitting smoking. You can take the pounds of later, especially because you want to get fit. Think of the time and money you save. Think of smelling fresh and clean. Think of all the poisons (there are including carbon monoxide) you are NOT putting into your body. Think of the idea of being in the hospital with a tube in your throat.(ugh) Think of not having to spend time outside smoking (and or looking for a place to smoke) Think of having your clothes tobacco odor free. Think of not having to deal with those nasty, smelly ashtrays. Think of not having to worry if you left one burning and your house burn down because of YOU. Well, I could go on. Maybe I'll follow up later Sorry so. Quitting is not easy. But it make you free , feel and be healthier. IT is the best thing you can do for yourself right now..Good luck.
